Accessibility Statement
Last updated: October 26, 2026
NextChair (“NextChair,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to making its websites, applications, and intake tools (collectively, the “Service”) accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We believe everyone should be able to join a waitlist, complete an intake, and use our tools regardless of ability, and we work to remove barriers that would prevent that.
1. Conformance target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities. We also monitor updates to the guidelines (including WCAG 2.2) and work toward them as part of our ongoing improvement.
2. Applicable standards
Our accessibility efforts are informed by applicable laws in the jurisdictions we serve, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and, where applicable, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act in the United States, and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and applicable human rights legislation in Canada. WCAG 2.1 Level AA serves as our working benchmark across these frameworks.
3. Measures we take
To support accessibility, we take measures that include: using semantic HTML and labeled form fields; supporting keyboard navigation; aiming for sufficient color contrast and legible text sizing; providing text alternatives for meaningful non-text content; designing forms, errors, and status messages to be understandable and operable; and reviewing accessibility as part of our design and development process. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing effort rather than a one-time event.
4. Third-party and customer-provided content
Portions of the Service may include content supplied by practices that use NextChair (for example, a practice's biography, instructions, or custom messages) or by third-party components and services we rely on. We encourage practices to provide accessible content, but we do not control and cannot guarantee the accessibility of content we did not create. We will make reasonable efforts to address accessibility issues within our control when they are brought to our attention.
5. Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some parts of the Service may not yet be fully accessible. Accessibility depends in part on technologies, browsers, and assistive tools that change over time. Where we become aware of limitations, we work to remediate them and, in the meantime, to provide information and assistance through an alternative means on request.
6. Feedback and requesting assistance
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of the Service. If you encounter a barrier, need information in an alternative format, or need help completing a task, please contact us at team@nextchair.co and include a description of the issue, the page or feature involved, and how we can reach you. We aim to acknowledge accessibility requests within five (5) business days and to resolve issues within our control as promptly as reasonably practicable. If you need to complete an intake or reach a practice and cannot do so because of an accessibility barrier, we will work with you to provide a reasonable alternative.
7. Ongoing review
We review this statement and our accessibility practices periodically and update them as the Service, standards, and applicable laws evolve. This statement reflects our good-faith commitment to accessibility and does not create any warranty or contractual obligation beyond what is required by applicable law.
